Der Film begleitet unterschiedliche Akteur:innen des gesellschaftlichen Lebens: die erste kommunale AfD-Fraktion im Stadtparlament, eine Tischlerei im Familienbetrieb, einen SPD-Abgeordneten, eine Mitarbeiterin eines Integrationsprojekts, eine Migrantin in der Ausbildung, den Bürgermeister sowie die Jugendbewegung Fridays for Future in Templin.

On October 3, 2020, the German Unification marks its 30th anniversary. An occasion to examine the hopes and promises of 1990. The film follows different actors from across social life: the first AfD faction in a municipal parliament, a family-run carpentry workshop, an SPD member of parliament, an employee of an integration project, a migrant in vocational training, the mayor, as well as the youth movement Fridays for Future in Templin.
How do they perceive Germany today? What remains of the promise of unity?
